But not for trying. I did head into town on Saturday with my heart (and arteries) set on a lunch with some of that winning BBQ! Unfortunately mid day on Saturday was probably the busiest time of day to try and go. I circled around town again and again at least three or four times before giving up on finding a parking space anywhere near close to the action. Which brings up a suggestion for future events in town. Remote Parking! With a bus or tram to bring people into the center of town. I am actually surprised that that hasn't already been considered. Parking in town is always at a premium and with so many visitors showing up for our festivities the long walk is always a real drag.    And there are certainly plenty of potential areas for parking what with all of the failed developments around town. The most obvious and top potential two in my mind would be the area by CVS and from the front lot by Auto Hause... the two directions the most people approach Waxhaw from. And for a suggested 50 cents or $1.00 per person to pay for the gas, many would certainly appreciate a ride... especially when they are leaving and hopefully laden with packages and full tummies from enjoying our towns fare.

Just a suggestion for our town leaders, but one I am sure would enhance future experiences not to mention increase the turnout for our events!
